hmm...well I haven't been on for a while, so Happy New Year to everyone. :)

While last year was pretty bad, it turns out that this year is worse and I'm only 16 days in. Anyway I've been struggling to keep the house from foreclosure and the bills kept on. I don't mind starving, but when they threaten to take away the internet, the electricity, and my home--I start to panic.

It's a shame that a person can work 42 hours a week and still not be able to live. Ever seen Breaking Bad? I'm about to take that route. Just kidding, I don't know how to make meth and seeing that I'm not much of a "people person" I don't think peddaling dope out on the streets will work for me, like say...being in retail does. :D

It's been cold here, very cold. I've had to type with fingerless gloves, a scarf, hood, and sweater.  Today seems a bit warmer, though, too bad it won't last through the night.

For anyone who cares, I have been able to work on my novel (One of Us) some. Hell, just waiting for a human to come on the telephone at the bill offices, I managed to rewrite a whole chapter. The rewrites and editing is going better than I would have imagined.

Also, I'm working on a wildlife painting set in Africa. And another painting that I'll not say what it is, just in case it ends up looking like crap and I paint over it and forget that I ever had such an idea. lol! *ducks and hides from the real artists out there*

I'm still working on Swachski's roots and if I'm not careful, I'll probably overwork it. I tend to do that. :/

That's about it for now. A BIG THANKS to all of you that follow or read or follow and read :D this blog. Happy painting and writing to all of you. If I still have the webz, I'll be back. If not, I'll still be back, just not sure in which year. :D

  1. Oh, Tracy... I'm sorry. I'm telling you, you need to sell your paintings on Etsy. You are a fabulous artist... they sell serious shit on there. And people buy it. Your stuff is real art. I will be praying and thinking of you my friend.

    1. *hugs* Aw...thanks Bettie. I've managed to save the house, I think, and possibly the electric. Not so sure about the car insurance and the internet/telephone, yet. I'll find out by next week. :/

If the paintings I'm working on now turn out decent, I'll see about putting them up on Etsy and maybe Fine Art America. Unfortunately, my job makes it difficult to get much painting done or writing. *sigh*

Many thanks for your prays and thoughts, my friend. <3

  2. Good luck with it all. Found your blog via AW, during a bout of insomnia. :) I'm in a similar circumstance to yours... seems a lot of people are at the edge. Maybe with enough of us pushing at it, some things can begin to change.

Good luck with the painting too.

    1. Thanks Kyla! Always thrilled to have visitors from AW :). Hope you get some rest, though. It's proven that reading my blog cures insomnia. :D Sorry to hear that things have been a struggle for you, too. It's rough out here, and getting worse every year, but I have managed to get my head just above the surface once again, for a little while anyway. Best of luck to you as well. Visit anytime and thank you. :) oh, and welcome to AW!

    1. Aw, thanks Jess for stopping by and for the kind words. Things are looking a bit better, I think I've managed to keep the house and the bills on...with a bit of help. I'm working on my novel and on some artwork, so maybe this will be the year that I make a breakthrough. :) One can hope. I wish for all the best for you and thank you. *hugs*
